Ethics between principles and experience: a possible constructivist-consistent approach

Abstract:
What we witness today is a world at war, where discrimination is increasing rather than decreasing. People kill other people, and the victims are often civilians. Migrants from poor countries are being turned away by wealthy nations. The fable of a peaceful world after World War II has turned out to be, indeed, just a fable. The rules that nations had established to prevent all this are constantly being questioned, if not openly circumvented. In a context that can commonly be described this way, it becomes inevitable to raise the question of ethics. Within this framework, the author will attempt to outline an ethical orientation consistent with the assumptions of constructivism and Personal Construct Psychology, exploring the possibility of an experiential rather than normative approach.
